Bucket List : Attend Holi, India's Festival of Colors

Holi is the most colorful festival of the Hindus and falls on the Full moon day in the month of Phalgun according to the Hindu Calendar- which is the month of March. During this festival, the towns, cities and villages go gay with merry making, and streets, parks and public places are crowded with people. Daubed in diverse colors, neon powder is thrown at everyone and anyone all the live long day...awesome and so beautiful!

ANGLES

it's a wonderful day in the world of music. The Strokes' new album Angles finally finally, finally drops and i'm still trying to wrap my head around how i managed to not download it before its launch date. Go me!

With your feet in the air
and your head on the ground
Try this trick and spin it, yeah
Your head will collapse

But there's nothing in it
And you'll ask yourself

Where is my mind..

one foot in the water

today i did a brave thing and really put myself out there. i can only hope i made the right decision. life's too short to be scared to do things most people do all the time.

resilience

if it enters my bubble, then i can fight it.

apples and peanut butta

crunch. there's me sitting on the foot of my bed snacking away on my favorite late night treat; apple slices dipped in peanut butter. thoughts? i've never asked anyone though i'm sure some would find it incredibly distusting. me on the other hand, think there's nothing better than the sweet fusion of crisp granny smith's and the texture of creamy peanuts. deeelish! in any case, it has been a busy busy day and i'm spent! today's chaos went as follows (in point form, as always) it all started in the office during piles of paper work, conference calls with the bosses, adjusting schedule changes, thirty five boxes of stock put away and organized, more event paper work, makeup, and it continued with breaking several cardboard boxes and getting a massive paper cut with no band-aids in sight, coffee break, wedding consultation, and so on and so forth. my brain has still not caught up with the sequence of events and the rotation of meeting deadlines and finding time to enjoy the day seems less than available. at least i made a delicious chicken primavera for tonight's dinner (even though i completely burnt my fingers trying to substitute oven mitts with small hand towels. ouch! also, i plan on sneeking in some Bachelor time before i dive in to another couple of chapters of Kat Von D's latest novel. in the meantime, my bf's texting me reminding me of how soon enough both our homes will share the same area code. life is exciting.

big love,

sola moon and sons

i love nick valensi ♥

i've said it nearly three hundred times, and i'll say it again. he looks incredibly dapper and delicious in the Strokes new video and once again, i'm in love. this set reminds me a lot of The Kings Speech- which i also enjoyed immensely. even if i didn't exactly agree with the Oscar's choice for Best Picture; Black Swan should have stole that one.

in any case, here it is :
