the secret life of beez
just a minute of your time to talk all things honey, honey
▵ combine honey, dissolved sugar, water, and soda in a saucepan with minimal heat to re-create honeycombs
▵ pour some into a hot bath to rejuvenate the skin. cleopatra would bathe in milk and honey, how delicious.
▵ hungry? a teaspoon in your tea, goat cheese, toasted bread with peanut butter, and/or any substitution for sugar
▵ honey on a wound or burn, or a quick gulp for an upset stomach can do the trick
▵ as a humectant: adding a few drops to your palm with conditioner before application will add moisture and a yummy smell to your locks
▵ it's amazing preservation capabilities makes it the only food that never goes rotten! that's right, honey forever..

calgary AIDS walk round 3
year to date, M.A.C Cosmetics have raised 250 million dollars for our AIDS fund. on lipsticks alone. that's pretty fantastic, and i'm so proud of my team for really pulling their weight this year and raising some funds. the photo above is from last year, and this will be my third year walking. every year the faces change, but the meaning stays the same. i had my first HIV/AIDS test this year and it wasn't scary or ackward, as much as most people tend to think it is. i was treated well, and i felt really comfortable throughout the whole procedure, and all the while it occurred to me how little i knew about the disease. i was informed of some of the staggering statistics on men, women, and children living with this horrible disease. at the end of 2008 there were an estimated 65,000 people in Canada living with HIV. Of these, around 26% were unaware of their infection. it is estimated that between 2,300 and 4,300 new HIV infections occur in Canada each year, though many of these are not reported right away. i think it should be a priority for everyone to get tested. there is no cure....but you already knew that.
BIG LOVE,

ramble jamble its 9:30
it was true that i lacked in ambition and my intentions for survival exceeded anything else. but the more i ventured into this idea of isolation, the further i got lost in it and eventually it threw everything off balance. time slowed to a heavy stop, and suddenly i drowned in everything around me. i swear it would have taken so much as a wrong look from a mere passerby to completely set me off. of course this never happened, but all this to be said..my ticker's crushed. where was the silver lining everyone's been talking about? faaaaaaack me.
no need for material things
